A mega start to treat the malnutrition in the
growing children in India. Akshaya patra is an inexhaustible vessel of food
whose aim is to provide the needful quality of food to the school children. To
maintain this inexhaustible vessel filled with food, govt. provide some
percentage of amount, rest amount comes from the donations.
According to the population counting India has the largest upcoming young generation in the world. But study says that from this
430 million (approx.) young generation about 45% of growing children are
suffering from malnutrition. Study also says that the reasons behind malnutrition in growing children are poverty, poor literacy standard, and
insanitation, and local issues.
Akshaya patra is taking the initial initiatives to fight against this malnutrition among the children. Initially starting
from kerala, akshaya patra is now feeding children in 10 states of India which
includes about 800 schools and is going on.
To cop up with the challenge of providing the food
on time to the children, akshaya patra have a well deigned fully innovative kitchen .We can call this kitchen a mega kitchen.

The most interesting fact about this NGO is that it
hires the personals who uses sign language to communicate during the cooking
task which also help in hygiene. The only science used behind cooking in this
mega kitchen is the excellent use of gravity effect.
As said earlier they have the innovative kitchen, a high pressured steam coming from the coal igniter is used that flow down to basement and due to gravity effect, this high pressured steam help in cooking. Professionally trained person’s uses innovative measures to serve the quality food with less cost of production.
